Report History

What is Report History?

By default, The Comment Generator saves a copy of the reports you generate on your local computer. These are only available on the computer you used to generate them - they are not shared over the internet.

How to Use Report History

On the top navigation bar, click the "History" link to see a history of the reports you have generated on this computer. Reports are organized by classes (if you are using classes). Clicking the "View" button will show you the classes that you have generated a report for each comment bank you have used. From there, you can click "View Reports" to return to the generator and recall the reports you have already created.

In addition, whenever you open The Comment Generator, if you have already generated reports for a particular comment bank and class, you will see them at the bottom of the page. Click on a student's name to recall that report. Doing so will also set the generator's inputs to how they were when you generated the report.

Clearing and Disabling Report History

After clicking the "History" link at the top of the page, you can clear any reports you no longer want. You can also clear the entire history stored in your browser. If you don't want The Comment Generator to save a history click on the "Enable History" toggle at the top of this page. Please note that turning this feature off will clear your report history for this computer, but won't clear the histories on other computers you may have used.

Downloading Reports

On either the History page or while using the Comment Generator, you can click the "Download" buttons to download a copy of your reports in either text, spreadsheet or PDF format. Note: We are working on making it possible to download reports for all classes at once. This feature is not currently available.
